The Denver Nuggets and Mike Miller have agreed upon a two-year deal worth excess of five million, as reported by Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.

Signing Mike Miller brings the Nuggets up to 13 guaranteed contracts. With the decision to bring Juancho Hernangomez over to the Nuggets next season still looming, and Axel Toupane, JaKarr Sampson and Joffrey Lauvergne still on non-guarenteed contracts, it seems that there will be a few players on the outside looking in.

Early bets would be on JaKarr Sampson being the outlier, but the team also loves what he brings in terms of work ethic and as a positive locker-room presence.

This also makes it seem as if Hernangomez is one step closer to playing another year in Europe, barring a trade.

Overall, keeping the player/coach Mike Miller cannot hurt. Being so drastically under the salary floor, the Nuggets had the money to spend and the need for veteran leadership.
