The Denver Nuggets desperately needed a win after losing two in a row at the start of their season-long seven game road trip, including a humiliating loss to the Memphis Grizzlies; the worst team in the league.

On Wednesday, the Nuggets led virtually wire-to-wire and trampled the Chicago Bulls 135-102 to come within 1-1/2 games of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Paul Millsap scored 22 points and star center Nikola Jokic scored 21. All five Nuggets starters finished with double-digit points as the Nuggets’ balanced offense built a 45-point lead in the easiest victory the Nuggets have had all season.

Three games are left on this critical road trip. The Nuggets head next to Washington to face the Wizards on Friday night.
