Michael Porter Jr. is back with the team. Porter Jr. has let to play a game for the Denver Nuggets in 2021 and is listed as questionable for Friday’s game against the Phoenix Suns.

Porter Jr. last played on December 29 against the Sacramento Kings. Contact tracing, and an eventual positive test, led to the Nuggets’ starting forward missing 10 games, nearly 15% of the 72-game season.

Denver went 6-4 in the games without Porter Jr., and the team could really use his services for the impending five-game road trip.

Aniello Piro of Mile High Sports covers the situation in the latest installment of the Denver Nuggets podcast. Piro pulls audio from coach Michael Malone’s afternoon press conference and gives his opinion of how Porter Jr. will impact the team when he eventually returns.
