The Colorado Rockies will be rocking a different look at Coors Field, and across the country, in 2019.

Paul Lukas originally broke the news that Colorado will ditch the pinstripes on their home alternate pants in favor of a solid white look, and the club confirmed that Thursday at Coors Field.

Pinstripes have been a part of the Rockies uniforms since their inaugural season in 1993 and remain the highlight of their traditional home kit. Colorado introduced the iconic look to their alternate uniforms in ’93 featuring the pinstripe pants paired with a black jersey.

This will be the first time in franchise history the club will not wear pinstripes with the alternate version of their home uniforms.

The change adds to other recent uniform changes including moving to an exclusive shade of purple, brightening the color for their uniforms in 2017. The change was due to the jerseys and hats yielding separate shades, a problem that was fixed with the newest iteration.

Majestic is currently the manufacturer of baseball jerseys; however, Nike will be the jersey supplier for MLB beginning in 2020, meaning things could continue to change for the club in the future.

The company will also be in charge of footwear for the league, meaning greater changes could go into effect.

The Rockies are currently 3-4 on the young season, stealing the series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays in the 11th inning on Wednesday. Catcher Chris Iannetta was the hero and the team now looks to continue its winning ways as home Opening Day is Friday at 2:10 as they host the Los Angeles Dodgers.
