Serna and O’Neill named to Homegrown roster

MLS All-Star festivities are quickly approaching and on Monday, two young Colorado Rapids players received good news.

The Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game provides opportunities for MLS to showcase its top young talent and youth development system. In addition, homegrown talent has become a staple in the U-20 and U-23 national teams.

Several homegrown MLS players participated recently at the FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2015 Toulon Tournament, putting in a great performance for Team USA.

Rapids players Shane O’Neill and Dillon Serna both put in great performances at the 2015 Toulon Tournament and now will be able to showcase their talents in front of their home crowd on July 28.

Rapids fans will be delighted to see more players from the Rapids included in the MLS festivities.

Over the weekend Drew Moor was selected to the 2015 MLS-All Star Game and he will be facing off against British team Tottenham Hotspur on July 29.
