That may have been the worst shooting night of Nikola Jokic’s lifetime.

On the newest episode of the Pickaxe and Roll Podcast, Ryan Blackburn reacts to the Denver Nuggets 111-102 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night.

Nikola Jokic had a triple-double but shot just 9-of-32 from the field, missing more shots in a game than he ever has in his NBA career. Most of the shots were attempts that Jokic usually makes, but 32 attempts is a large, large number, and Jokic just kept on shooting.

Ryan discusses what happened with Jokic, how concerned everyone should be, and what Denver’s next steps should be as a team after their first loss in LA in a while.

Ryan also discusses the return of Jamal Murray, who played reasonably well in 29 minutes following a sprained ankle. Michael Porter Jr. deserves some credit for his elite shooting as well, while the Nuggets bench deserves some criticism for how they handled their minutes too.
