This is not what Denver had in mind to kick-start its offense in a Week 6 matchup with the Cleveland Browns.

Facing one of the weakest defenses in football, Denver was hoping to get off to a quick start against the Browns. That didn’t happen.

On a first and ten near midfield, Peyton Manning was picked off by Cleveland’s Karlos Dansby, trying to hit Emmanuel Sanders on a crossing route.

The interception was Manning’s eighth of the year and marked the sixth consecutive game in which he has thrown an interception. It’s the first time since 1999 that Manning has thrown an interception in each of his first six games of the season.

He has never been picked in seven straight games to start the season. With a bye and then Green Bay coming to Denver in two weeks, that streak looks like it might be in serious jeopardy.
