Nuggets starting small forward Will Barton excited Denver’s game against the Phoenix Suns early Saturday night with a right hip injury and he will not return.
After making a reverse layup midway through the third quarter, Barton stayed on the same baseline for roughly three minutes before being carted off the floor. He looked to be in extreme pain and was carted straight to the locker room.

Barton scored 14 points before his injury, while also chipping in five rebounds and four assists.
