With the NFL combine looming — and an opportunity to get up close and personal with the crop of rookie quarterbacks close at hand — the Denver Broncos’ pursuit of their next starter turned on a dime in on Monday, when the Minnesota Vikings decided not to franchise or transition tag quarterback Case Keenum, and the Jacksonville Jaguars agreed to a three-year deal with their signal-caller, Blake Bortles.

The moves essentially take the Jaguars out of the running for prized free-agent Kirk Cousins… but they may make the Vikings the new favorites.

In the latest edition of the Broncos Blitz podcast, hosts Ronnie K and Shawn Drotar discuss how those moves affect the Broncos’ quarterback pursuit, and if the soon-to-be free agent Keenum has become Denver’s Plan B. The pair take their guesses on who will be the Broncos’ starter in 2018… and Shawn’s best guess makes him feel sick to his stomach.
