Linebacker Todd Davis wants wins to teach ‘young guys’

Tanking isn’t linebacker Todd Davis’ style. In an interview with Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro of Mile High Sports AM 1340 | FM 104.7 inside the Broncos’ locker room, Davis insisted that building a winning culture is far more important than any draft pick.

“I think the most important is that we need to win,” Davis said. “First and foremost, I think it’s all about winning, and if we can do that, and at the same time, if we can get some young guys in to see what they’re made of, I think that’s also critical for our progress going forward. I think, first and foremost, win  — and then also see what these young guys can do.”

The season’s been taxing, but Davis isn’t surprised that even after their two-month long losing streak, the Broncos aren’t rolling over for anyone. “I feel like we’ve had some ups and downs — and people always look at your downs more than they look at your ups and they’ve definitely underestimated us, but I think that’s another thing we have to do in these last two games. We have to prove who we are still. We can be number one in every category if we just put our foot to the pedal and go get it these last two weeks.”
