The Denver Nuggets likely lost their man when Dragan Bender was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the fourth-overall pick, but that doesn’t mean they came away empty handed. With the seventh overall selection in the NBA Draft, the Nuggets selected Jamal Murray, shooting guard out of Kentucky.

As a freshman, Murray averaged 20 points per game on 50 percent shooting from the field and 41 percent shooting from three.

Next to Emmanuel Mudiay, Murray will provide the type of shooting and spacing the Denver Nuggets so desperately need.
