The 800-pound monkey that sat on the Denver Broncos for half the season is finally off the Broncos’ back after they snapped their eight-game losing streak on Sunday, beating the New York Jets 23-0 at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall, who forced a fumble on the Jets’ very first drive, said it was a special day.

In an interview with Les Shapiro of Mile High Sports AM 1340 | FM 104.7, Marshall talks about the win over the Jets, the performance on defense and a turnover-free day for the offense.

“It was a special day for us, because we got our first shutout in twelve years,” Marshall said. “We played a clean brand of football, which is Bronco football. I definitely believe if we don’t beat ourselves and play clean football, we could compete with anyone in the league.”
