To nobody’s surprise, Colorado Buffaloes head coach Mike MacIntyre has been voted the AP college football Coach of the Year.

After winning no more than four games in each of MacIntyre’s first three seasons, the Buffs won 10 games this year, played in the Pac-12 Championship and finished the regular season ranked No. 10 in the country.

It has been a remarkable turnaround for the Colorado Buffaloes, and MacIntyre deserves all the credit in the world.

Yes, “The Rise” is real, and with a top-25 recruiting class set to come into Boulder next season, it’s not ending any time soon.
