Most people assumed the Denver Broncos would take a quarterback in the 2015 NFL draft. Where they’d do it caused much debate. That answer came in the 7th round. Denver used the 1st of their three compensatory picks in the 7th round on Northwestern senior quarterback Trevor Siemian.

Siemian finished his senior season with a pedestrian stat line. He threw for 2,214 yards, 7 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Siemian does have prototypal NFL quarterback size at 6’2″, 217 lbs.

Siemian will compete with Zac Dysert for the No. 3 quarterback job.
