With their fifth pick in the 2015 NFL Draft the Broncos added to the defensive secondary by selecting Lorenzo Doss of Tulane University.

Doss, a 5’11’’, 187 pound defensive back was a two time letterman for the Green Wave and will add some depth in a very successful group that includes Aqib Talib, Chris Harris Jr. and Bradley Roby.

According to the Tulane University site Doss accumulated 78 tackles (58 solo, 20 assists), 12 interceptions, including two returned for touchdowns, 11 pass break-ups, two fumble recoveries and 1.5 tackles for loss during his 37 games played (34 starts).

He was expected to go in either the fourth or fifth round of the draft with noticeable weakness being his size and physicality in coverage. His strengths include his ball catching ability and his speed. He recorded a 4.47 40-yard dash time but only nine repetitions on the bench press during the combine.
