The Denver Broncos added another Tulane University cornerback with their 8th pick in the 2015 draft to continue to add depth in the secondary.

Taruean Nixon, a 6’0”, 183 pound senior joined the Broncos at the tail end of the 2015 draft and will also be accompanying his teammate and fellow cornerback Lorenzo Doss, who was taken at pick No. 164.

Nixon spent two years at the University of Memphis and sat out 2012 in order to transfer to Tulane and finish his college career. According to the team’s site he played in 38 games (21 starts) and accumulated 92 tackles (71 solo, 21 assists), seven pass break-ups and two interceptions.

His senior year he played in 11 games, with eight starts and was mostly utilized as a nickel cornerback. He was also used as a kicker returner at times.
