BOULDER – University of Colorado senior forward Tristan da Silva has been named the Pac-12 Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for his efforts during the week of Dec. 4-10, the conference office announced on Monday.

Da Silva, a native of Munich, Germany, had 22 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and a pair of steals to lead Colorado to a 90-63 win over No. 15 Miami on Dec. 10 at the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Brooklyn Showcase at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The Pac-12 Player of the Week honor for da Silva is the second of his career and first this year. He won the award on Jan. 9, 2023, leading the Buffaloes to a home sweep of Oregon and Oregon State.

Da Silva scored 18 of his game-high 22 points in the second half as the Buffaloes ran away from the Hurricanes for their third-straight neutral site win over a ranked nonconference opponent. He registered the third double-double of his career and narrowly missed the program’s fourth-ever triple-double by dishing out a career-best nine assists.

Da Silva, on Watch Lists for the Naismith and Wooden National Player of the Year honors, matched a team season-high with nine field goals, hitting on 8 of 13 2-point attempts, while hitting all three free throws.

Colorado, 7-2 overall and receiving votes in both national polls, will continue nonconference action by hosting in-state rival Northern Colorado on Friday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m. (Pac-12 Network/850 AM & 94.1 FM KOA) at the CU Events Center.
