The new tread in the NBA is positionless basketball. Steve Kerr and the Warriors used the philosophy (getting your five best players on the floor) to win the NBA Finals last season. With Jusuf Nurkic hurt Mike Malone has been experimenting with such a philosophy.

Against the Warriors Kenneth Faried started at center. Adam Kinney and Josh Dover aren’t sure if this is a sustainable lineup.

“When the Nuggets are going against team like (Golden State) you can get away with Faried at center but when you go up against the San Antonio Spurs with LaMarcus Aldridge and Tim Duncan you can’t do that,” said Kinney.

With the centers that the Nuggets will face in the West can the Malone afford to start Faried at center?
