Denver Broncos long snapper Casey Kreiter announced his baby’s gender in epic fashion back in March. He provided no such theatrics to announce the birth of Landen James Kretier – probably to the relief of his wife, Meghan, and family.

The Kreiters welcomed Landen to Broncos Country on July 11. The 6-pound, 10-ounce, 19-inch baby Kreiter is doing well, as is mom, according to Casey.

Landen was born just two days after the couple’s one-year anniversary.

Casey and Meghan met at the University of Iowa where both worked for the University Club. Casey was a long-snapper for the Hawkeyes and went undrafted out of college in 2014. After failing to make the Dallas Cowboys roster following two training camp invites, his football dream nearly came to an end

Kreiter, 26, was working as a high school and middle school science teacher in Iowa City when the Denver Broncos invited him to training camp in 2016.

A successful camp and preseason later, Kreiter made the Broncos roster playing one of the least-appreciated and most high-pressure positions on the field.

Kreiter plans to return to teaching when his NFL career comes to an end, but for now he’ll be the one doing the learning. Learning how to be a dad.

And if you forgot how Kreiter broke the news he was having a boy…
