While the Colorado Buffaloes’ magical run may have ended on Friday night against the Washington Huskies in the Pac-12 Championship Game, it was an extremely successful season nonetheless.

Picked nearly unanimously to finish last in the Pac-12 South, “The Rise” was most certainly real, as the Buffs charged through the Pac 12 and won their division.

The fact that the College Football Playoffs were a part of our vernacular this late in the season shows just how far this program has come.

And with the final College Football Playoff Rankings before the postseason, the Colorado Buffaloes finished 10th in the nation.

Unfortunately, that means the Buffs will miss out on the Rose Bowl, as the USC Trojans jumped Colorado in the rankings to No. 9. The Trojans will face off against No. 5 Penn State.

The Buffaloes will face off against Oklahoma State in the Alamo Bowl on December 29.
