Darian Stewart will be prowling the secondary as the Denver Broncos get ready to face Kirk Cousins in Washington this Sunday, and while the Broncos safety has high praise for Cousins and the Redskins’ offense, Stewart says, he’s not quite elite just yet.
In an interview with Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro of Mile High Sports AM 1340 | FM 104.7, Stewart says Cousins ranks as a solid quarterback.
“He’s a solid quarterback. He’s not elite right now, but he’s played at a high level for a while,” Stewart said. “He’s got a couple key players out, so that may be the reason why, but he’s a solid player — and he does a good job at taking control of the offense and making plays for them.”
