Yesterday, Darren Rovell reported that Under Armour filed a trademark for this logo, which looks to be for Emmanuel Mudiay.

The logo didn’t receive great reviews, with some saying that it resembled a swastika, and Mudiay came out Friday morning to say that the logo was not his.

Entering his second season in the NBA, Mudiay, an Under Armour athlete, will be looking to have a breakout campaign, and if he develops to his fullest potential, he’ll be absolutely deserving of a logo.

It doesn’t seem as if it will be this one, though.

———————————————- UPDATE ———————————————

After Mudiay called Rovell out, ESPN’s business reporter didn’t back down quietly.

Both sides are probably right. If Under Armour filed the trademark, they filed the trademark. They could have done that without consulting Mudiay. But if Mudiay says it’s not his, well then you can be sure that it never will be.
