After losing their eighth straight game against the Dolphins, the Broncos are reeling like they haven’t since the late 1960’s.

Former Broncos offensive lineman Mark Cooper joined Gil Whiteley and Mark Jackson of Mile High Sports AM 1340 | FM 104.7 to discuss the historic string of Broncos losses and what to make of the losing streak.

“It’s getting to a point where people are going to do something else when the Broncos game comes on,” Cooper said, before giving his opinion on what Elway should do, moving forward, to fix the team. “He’s [John Elway] got to fire somebody, I mean, he’s got to start mixing this thing up; he’s got to start making changes.”

“Something has got to happen, something has got to change,” Cooper continued. “Vance Joseph is so over his head. It’s like watching high school football now. It really is.”

Demaryius Thomas, who hauled in only two catches on ten targets, was also on Cooper’s radar. “It’s tough on these quarterbacks to get in rhythm, [when] you got guys dropping balls,” Cooper said. “Demaryius Thomas, I still don’t get him, you know — catch a ball, miss a ball, catch a ball, miss a ball — you know [the quarterback is] leading [you] into the secondary, [but] stretch, lay out and catch the damn ball.”
