Sorry Denver Broncos fans. With the eighth overall pick, the Carolina Panthers selected Colorado native Christian McCaffrey with their first round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

McCaffrey is known for his ability to play many positions on the field as well as for his famous father and former Bronco Ed McCaffrey. He is a veritable Swiss Army knife on the field, lining up at running back, quarterback, wide receiver, punt returner and kick returner during his time at Stanford.
He should improve the Panthers special teams immediately with his return ability. He also provides a durable running back to the roster, and could possibly work out of the slot as a third receiver.
