Could this be the first year in the Nikola Jokic era that the Denver Nuggets send two players to the NBA All-Star Game in February?

In the latest episode of the Pickaxe and Roll Podcast, Ryan Blackburn reacts to the 37-point outburst from Jamal Murray in the Denver Nuggets 131-114 win over the Detroit Pistons. Murray bounced back from a touch game against the Orlando Magic and cooked every Pistons player in front of him.

Nikola Jokic had just four points, but he had 16 assists, including some to Peyton Watson, who continues to impress. Jokic was more than willing to cede points and scoring to Murray and others. Watson scored 13 of his 15 points in the third quarter and continues to find ways to grow within his role on the Nuggets.

Ryan discusses Murray, Jokic, Watson, and more from Sunday’s game. He also discusses the 2024 NBA All-Star game and whether Murray has a chance to be voted in with such a stacked field of guards in the Western Conference.
