What do you do when you get caught trespassing in the Denver Broncos’ training facility? You claim to own the franchise, of course.

According to The Denver Post, Cordell Eric Robinson was found snooping around the UCHealth Training Center early Monday morning, taking pictures of a trophy cabinet with his cell phone. After a security officer found Robinson and asked him to leave, Robinson responded by saying that he was a minority owner of the franchise, according to Julie Brooks, spokeswoman for the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office.

The security guard didn’t fall for the bait, asking him to leave a second time. It’s at that point that he said, “I’ll get you and Elway.”

The security guard responded by calling 911, at which point Robinson ran out the building. He was subsequently arrested by Arapahoe County Sheriff’s deputies.

According to Kirk Mitchell of The Denver Post this was not Robinson’s first offense. Since 2005, he has been arrested for felony kidnapping, violating a restraining order, trespassing and motor theft.
