Denver Nuggets’ star center Nikola Jokic departed Thursday’s home game at the Pepsi Center against the Chicago Bulls after hurting his left leg late in the second quarter.

It appeared Jokic rolled his ankle while attempting to shoot over Bulls’ guard Jerian Grant. Jokic instantly fell to the floor in agony while grabbing his left ankle. He was fouled on the play and proceeded to make two free throws before heading to the locker room for X-rays in noticeable pain. Here is what happened:

Jokic did walk off the court under his own power and was seen leaving the X-ray room without a shoe on his left foot but with a noticeable limp. He did not start the second half as Kenneth Faried filled in as the starting center. Jokic was ruled out for the remainder of the game with the injury being described as a sprained left ankle. No report on the results of the X-ray have been released at this time.
