As it turns out, winning an NBA championship does NOT help in the quest for better treatment.

In the newest episode of the Pickaxe and Roll Podcast, Ryan Blackburn reacts to the Nikola Jokic ejection vs the Chicago Bulls in the Denver Nuggets 114-106 win.

Ryan discusses the game, sharing brief thoughts on Denver’s win despite not having Jamal Murray at all and not having Jokic in the second half. Aaron Gordon and Reggie Jackson stepped up big time, while Julian Strawther continues to shine.

Then, Ryan discusses the ejection by Mousa Dahger, an inexperienced referee, and whether the Denver Nuggets have a referee problem they need to address. It’s clear that the Nuggets are not receiving the benefit of the doubt on foul calls and free throws when they play, despite constantly attacking the paint and playing aggressive basketball. Should the Nuggets send a letter to the league? Will the league laugh at them for doing so?
