It took awhile, but the Denver Nuggets can now feel good about a win again.

In the latest episode of the Pickaxe and Roll podcast, Ryan Blackburn discusses the Denver Nuggets 132-120 win over the San Antonio Spurs, including the much anticipated matchup between Nikola Jokic and top overall draft pick Victor Wembanyama.

Jokic vs Wemby was awesome, and Ryan discusses all of the layers of the matchup. Both players had success, and Wemby had an absurd 10 steals + blocks in just under 25 minutes, but Jokic and the Nuggets ultimately won the duel.

Ryan also breaks down strong performances from Michael Porter Jr., Peyton Watson, Reggie Jackson, and others. Head coach Michael Malone credited Watson and the Nuggets bench for a strong effort, something that had been lacking during the Nuggets five-game road trip. Can Watson and others play like this every single night, even on the road?

Finally, Ryan previews the Nuggets matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers tonight before discussing a new injury report about Jamal Murray from Shams Charania of The Athletic.
