The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have agreed to terms with right-handed pitcher Blake Goldsberry, a non-drafted free agent out of the University of Kansas. Per Club policy, terms of the agreement will not be disclosed.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound native of Highlands Ranch, Colo., appeared in seven games in the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, and allowed no earned runs and one walk with eight strikeouts over 10 innings of work … as a redshirt junior in 2019, made 31 appearances out of the bullpen and went 6-6 with a 3.50 ERA (43.2 IP, 17 ER), 16 walks and 33 strikeouts … in his career at KU, went 7-13 with a 5.76 ERA (125.0 IP, 80 ER), 51 walks and 91 strikeouts over 80 appearances including two starts.

Born in Denver, Colo., Goldsberry was a five-time varsity letterman in both baseball and basketball at Cherry Creek High School … was part of the 2014 and 2015 Conference Champion and District Champion teams, going 8-1 with a 2.30 ERA in his senior season in 2015 … was named All-League Second Team in his junior year, and in his senior year was named All-State and the 16th-best high school player in Colorado by Prep Baseball Report.
