With a win on Friday, the Colorado Buffaloes will take home the Pac-12 Title. Today, they’ve already been awarded some high honors from the Pac-12.

The conference announced their football awards and all-conference teams on Tuesday, and head coach Mike MacIntyre was awarded Pac-12 Coach of the Year and seven of his players earned All-Pac-12 honors:

First Team:

LB – Jimmie Gilbert
ST – Ryan Moeller

Second Team:

RB – Phillip Lindsay
OL – Jeromy Irwin
DB – Chidobe Awuzie

WR – Bryce Bobo
DL – Jordan Carrell
WR – Shay Fields
OL – Alex kelley
OL – Gerrad Kough

With the Buffs holding the best defense in the Pac 12, some will no doubt be disappointed that they didn’t earn more first-team votes, but this is a massive step forward for the program.

It’s definitely an exciting time to be a Colorado Buffaloes fan.
