Jack Skille

Entering his ninth season in the NHL, Jack Skille earned his spot on the team the hard way. The Avalanche signed the 28-year old to a one-year contract after he impressed anyone that saw him during his professional tryout this training camp. The Wisconsin born winger will hope to bring some scoring to the bottom two lines and should bring a physical element to the game that the Avalanche have lacked in years past. He also brings a strong presence in front of the net, something coach Roy has placed a lot of emphasis on going in to the year. Skille will begin the season skating on the fourth line with Cody McCleod and John Mitchell.
