The Tim Tebow Foundation held its 2016 Golf Classic at TPC Sawgrass earlier this month, and while appearing on Fox News’ Fox & Friends Tuesday morning, Tebow told host Ainsley Earhardt that his next career move could be into politics.

“It’s been crazy, hasn’t it?” Tebow said after being asked whether he’s thought about politics, via FoxSports.com “It’s been a whirlwind watching everything. You know, I don’t know in this time in my life, but if there’s a chance you can make a difference some day in something, then that would be intriguing.”

And while it may sound like an unconventional idea, it’s an idea that is beginning to look a whole lot more realistic with each passing day.

If Donald Trump can compete for the US Presidency, than why can’t Tim Tebow become a congressman? Heck, we’re talking about a guy who’s still the fifth-most popular quarterback in the NFL despite not having played a game in nearly four years. There’s just something about Tebow that people can’t help but love; who’s to say they won’t love him in the voting booth, too?

The NFL-quarterback boat seems to have passed Tebow by, but that doesn’t mean a few more ships aren’t left at the dock. If Tebow wants to test his luck in politics, there will be countless supporters waiting to back him up.
