The UFC returns for more PPV action this Saturday night for UFC 298. The card headlines with a featherweight title fight in the main event and multiple fights between top ranked contenders.

In the main event, we see a matchup between a divisional GOAT and an undefeated contender as Alexander Volkanovski takes on #3 Ilia Topuria. There is a middleweight showcase in the co-main as former champion #3 Robert Whittaker takes on #6 Paulo Costa.

However, the fight with the most implications on the line aside from the title fight is the second fight on the main card. Olympic Gold Medalist and former two division UFC champion #3 Henry Cejudo takes on #2 Merab Dvalishvili. Many in the fight world believe that Dvalishvili is the true top contender, but his relationship with Aljamain Sterling has stalled his title fight hopes. ‘Triple C’ Cejudo has hinted he may retire for good if he loses on Saturday and that he only wants to fight if he’s in the mix for gold. At 37 years old and father time knocking on his door, his position is understandable.

Merab is a wrestling takedown machine, but Cejudo is an Olympic Gold Medalist (Beijing 2008). Will Cejudo’s level’s of experience show through or will the ‘Machine’ live up to nicknamesake?

#15 Anthony ‘Fluffy’ Hernandez opens the main card against surging prospect Roman Kopolov who is riding a four fight knockout streak. Denver’s own Miranda Maverick of Pound 4 Pound and Elevation Fight Team looks to take #15 Andrea Lee‘s ranking in the women’s flyweight division.
