In a game that had been much tighter on the scoreboard than it had been on the stat sheet up to that point, Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib stepped in front of an Andrew Luck pass and returned it 46-yards for a touchdown to give Denver some breathing room.

Denver had outgained Indianapolis 345 yards to 154 in the early parts of the fourth quarter, yet held a slim 16-13 lead until Talib’s record-setting play. With the interception for touchdown, Talib took control of the Broncos record book in that category and moved into a tie for fourth place in NFL history.

The Broncos forced a three-and-out on the Colts’ ensuing drive.
