University of Colorado football head coach Mike MacIntyre added to his 2018 recruiting class on Wednesday with the addition of two student-athletes, brining his class total to 20 new recruits for the upcoming season. Colorado added 20 signees (15 high school, five junior college) during the early signing period in December.

MacIntyre, the Pac-12, Walter Camp, Home Depot and AP Coach of the year in 2016, met the media at the conclusion of the first day of the traditional signing period, which lasts until April 1.

Junior college transfer Alex Tchangam (De Anza College) is a linebacker originally from Douala, Cameroon. MacIntyre expects Tchangam to contribute immediately as a disruptive pass rusher.

Travon McMillian, a transfer from Virginia Tech, is the other addition to the 2018 class. Originally recruited as a quarterback out of high school, McMillian will contribute as a running back and hope to at least partly fill the void left by outgoing senior and Buffalo Heart Award winner Phillip Lindsay.

Colorado plays its spring football showcase on March 17 at Folsom Field. The Buffaloes open the 2018 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 1 with their traditional rivalry game against in-state foe Colorado State at Mile High Stadium.
