Elevation Fight Team coaches, Sean Madden and Peter Straub traveled 14 hours by plane and car, braving the coronavirus threat, to get to Serbia to support and corner their welterweight fighter, Bojan Velickovic (16-10-2). Bojan will be fighting for the Serbian Battle Championships against Escley Araujo (5-1) in the Main Event. Velickovic will be looking to earn the welterweight title and get back to his winning ways while Araujo will try to bounce back from a loss his last time out and take home the championship hardware. The event takes place on Saturday, at 8:00 am MST.
Competing state-side in Las Vegas, Anel Dudo (8-6) of AFA Boxing will make a quick turnaround following his impressive King of Sparta tournament performance at the end of February, as he takes on Christopher Elisarraras (5-3) this Saturday night at Tuff-N-Uff 126. Dudo is the 5th ranked flyweight in Colorado according to Tapology.com and he will be looking to get back into the win column as he competes at The Orleans Casino in a featured flyweight bout in what will be his 15th career amateur MMA fight. Fights start at 4:00 pm MST and take place in the Mardi Gras Ballroom.
New fight announcements:
Drew Dober (22-9) of Elevation Fight Team will be back in UFC action when he takes on the number 11 ranked lightweight, Diego Ferreira (17-2) on May 2nd in Oklahoma City. Dober is currently riding a 2 fight win streak with both wins coming by first-round KO. Ferreira on the other hand is riding a 6 fight win streak with three of those wins coming by early stoppage. This bout will very likely be a fight of the night contender. You can watch it live on ESPN + with bouts starting at 4:00 pm MST.
In a late addition to the upcoming card, Elias Egozi of High Altitude Martial Arts announced that he will make his MMA debut at Colorado Combat Club’s March 20th event. The fights go down at the Stampede night club in Aurora with doors opening at 6:00 and fights starting at 7:00 pm. Get your tickets now!
Fury FC has added a handful of new matchups to their already stacked April 10th card in Denver…
Kyle the “Kingslayer” Broadwater (0-2) of Genesis fight team will take on Sam Fernandez of Hybrid nation in what will be Fernandez’s pro debut. Broadwater will be seeking the first win of his pro career against Fernandez in their featherweight contest.
Caleb Hall (2-0) of Elevation Fight Team will look to keep his perfect pro record intact as he takes on Whitt Campbell (0-1) of Pariah MMA in a lightweight matchup. Hall will be dropping down to 155 lbs for this bout after previously competing at Welterweight.
