Colorado State finally got back to their winning ways on Saturday, defeating San Jose State 90-79.

For the first time ever, Jase Herl was the head coach of the Rams men’s team, being named to that interim position at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, with the game tipping off at 2 p.m. MT. Herl told his team to have fun, which we heard a lot from Nico Carvacho and Anthony Bonner in the postgame press conference. Why was having fun imperative to this team who had lost seven straight games? Well, it wasn’t just the losing hurting CSU, but the wild distractions surrounding this team that they needed to shake off. (Read why it was important to get back to fun at the bottom of this post.)

After that huge win, which was Nico Carvacho’s career game, we give you three things to take away from the victory. And then we move onto who could be CSU’s next coach, if, indeed, the school moves on from Larry Eustachy.

The second half of the podcast focuses on National Signing Day, with a lot of quotes from John Jancek and the rest of the new CSU Football defensive coaching staff. You’ll want to hang around for those.
